The Rock International School (TRIS ) is situated in the heart of Denver, Bonamoussadi - Douala in a safe and serene natural environment coupled with it’s neat and well ventilated classrooms creates a condusive atmosphere to well being and learning.

 

Collaboration is at the heart of all we do and we share expertise across networks of schools for the benefit of all children and to derive continued school improvement.

 

TRIS is a lay private institution structured as follows :

- A Bilingual Daycare , Preschool and Nursery Section.

- An English Primary section from Year 1 to year 6 (Class 1 to class 6).

- A French section from  SIL to CM2

- A Bilingual Primary Section from year 1 to year 4 (Class 1 to class 4) Upon completing class 4 , the parent/carer with the advice of the school head teacher makes a decision as to if the pupil will continue his or her studies  to « CLASS FIVE  ENGLISH » or « CM1 ». This decision is to prepare the pupil who at this point bilingual towards sitting the Government Common Entrance and First School Leaving Certificate Examinations in the language he or she masters best.

 

Our mission at TRIS is to provide an environment  for each and every child where they feel safe, secure, happy and motivated to learn. In this way, each child progresses academically as well as developing their own unique talents.

 

Being the Founder and Managing Director of  TRIS since May 2018, i have enjoyed the priviledge of facilitating both teachers and pupils to lead a fruitful, discipline and fulfilling life crafted in the motto of  the school « Knowledge is wisdom ».

 

Our vision at TRIS is to empower pupils to acquire, articulate , demonstrate and value knowledge and skills that will support  them as life long learners, to contribute and participate to the global world and to,practice and respect the core values of the school as they strive for excellence.

 

Through our 8 core values: Creativity, Pride, Responsibility, Confidence, Perseverence, Team work, Aspiration, and Enjoyment., we strive to ensure your child’s first steps on the ladder of education are happy and rewarding.

 

TRIS has been one of the most welcoming communities i have ever experienced. There is a true sense of school, of belonging  and community pride full of people working tiredlessly for the good of our children. It is my pleasure to work with such caring, supportive and innovative school community.

 

Knowing i have not met many of you, i will like to take the opportunity to tell you a little bit about myself.

 

I was born and raised in Cameroon where i studied and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LL.B Hons.)  from the University of Buea - Cameroon.

 

I later obtained a Certificate in School Leadership and Management (leading schools, leading change , leading people, leading learning) from the Harvard Business School, Boston Massachusetts USA.

 

I equally hold an Associate Degree in Nursing Sciences from MHIHS -Cameroon.

 

The experiences and connections i have made during the past 18 years has help  shape me into the educator and leader i have become today.

 

I am married with children.

 

I am humbled and grateful for the opportunity to lead TRIS.

 

I would like to make this page a good source for families to include elementary specific information.
